Start with what matters to you
Write down the changes you want to discuss and the questions you want answered. It can help to separate a goal, such as understanding weight changes, from a preferred product. Your clinician can then explain what evaluation may be appropriate.
Bring context to the clinical conversation
Keep an up-to-date list of medicines and supplements for your appointment. Ask the practice how to securely provide medical records. The contact form on this website is for callback details, so leave health history and documents for the clinical visit.
Ask about the whole plan
Before agreeing to treatment, ask about alternatives, expected limitations, material risks, follow-up and total cost. Clarify whether testing, supplies or later visits are included. Ask who to contact if you have a concern between visits.
Take time to decide
A consultation is an opportunity to get information. You do not need to select a treatment before you understand the options. If a recommendation is unclear, ask for a plain-language explanation and written instructions through the practice's appropriate clinical channel.
