Clarify the goal
Non-invasive body contouring targets the appearance of particular body areas. It is not an obesity treatment and does not provide the health benefits associated with weight loss. If your concern is weight or metabolic health, start with a clinical discussion of that concern.
Ask about the technology
Ultrasound, radiofrequency, electromagnetic stimulation and light-based devices work differently. Ask which specific device is involved, which body area is being considered, and what that device is authorized to do. A service name alone does not answer those questions.
Discuss suitability and risk
Non-invasive does not mean risk-free. Disclose relevant medical history through the clinical process and ask about contraindications, possible adverse effects and what to do if a problem occurs.
Understand the package
Clarify session count, spacing, full cost and realistic limitations. Buying more sessions does not guarantee a particular outcome. A package should follow an assessment of suitability, not replace one.
